After some thought, we have decided to return to our original guild and split with the core of NES who had migrated from Mazrigos. I won’t go into why, but it will be for the best of the guild overall. Those of you logging on to an empty guild may wish to contact either me or Tamashi for an invite.
At long last, Brutallus got what he deserved and dropped down to 0%. A fantastic go at him which was threatened to be scuppered at the end by Elen and Immortal DC’ing and Terronae plus the current tank, Aleviah dying. Some quick work though by Tamashi in physically dragging him over to Aleviah’s slash soak group and back again in the 6-5% of his HP remaining though ensured the kill, with him eventually enraging around 3% and dying with a handful of people still alive. The WWS report of the night will be up soon. Unfortunately as I write this, the WWS servers are down, so it’ll have to wait a bit.
Congrats to Aleviah, Zakdog, Rozy and Bullship on the loot: Onslaught Waistguard, Slayer’s Belt, Belt of the Malefic and Heart of the Pit. Also, congratulations to DC on getting Illidan down. Nice to have one more guild on Alliance Dentarg moving onto Sunwell! Oh, and congratulations also go to Yasna, who got the Amani War Bear after the raid.
The important thing now is to ensure we repeat this kill from now on. It’s far from a farm boss, and we’ll need good activity from all the top DPS on Sunwell nights until we can outgear him enough to make him the joke boss of Sunwell that he will eventually become. I’d also urge all NES members now to start reviewing the Felmyst tactics.
In addition, I think now is a good time to remind people that we are still recruiting. We’re looking for another Holy Priest, Holy Paladin, Resto Shaman and Hunter to fill up the ranks. See the recruitment and schedule pages for more detail.

After spending perhaps slightly too long on Kalecgos, we had enough time for about 2 hours on Brutallus. Some really nice attempts proving without a doubt that we have the DPS for the fight if we can just get a bit of luck and put everything together at once. The night ended with both a 6% and 1% wipe. Yet again. One of these times, that 1 will tick down to 0 and we’ll get the bugger down.
What’s most encouraging about the 1% wipes so far is that both times they’ve happened people have died midfight, and had to be combat rezzed. Unfortunately, both times the deaths were on Shadow Priests, who being rezzed at low mana spend the rest of the fight scraping the bottom of barrel for mana, and not providing as much support to their group as is required.

In other news, we got Dragonscale-Encrusted Longblade, Lightbringer Bracers, Skyshatter Wristguards and some other bracers I’ve forgotten from Kalecgos.
Since the site originally went down, and I’ve been able to recover most of the lost data, one thing proved to be a nuisance to restore. The forums were suprisingly easy, though tedious, to recover. But the old frontpage system just refused to work. So it seemed that if I was to spend any length of time on restoring a front page and making the guild site into more than just a forum, that I’d prefer to remake it myself. This, what you see so far, is the preliminary results. A lot obviously still needs done to modify the theme to my liking, but it’ll certainly do for now. The logo, which is pretty awesome, is obviously Tamashi’s doing. Art is beyond me.
Now is the part where you can all help. I’m missing something very important to add: a killshot. I want a killshot of Brutallus. Make it happen!
